CAVA in Rye

Today, my friend and I stumbled upon a hidden gem in Rye, a place that has quickly become a favorite spot for our post-hike refueling sessions. The star of the show? CAVA, renowned for its incredible salad bowls that can be customized to your heart's content.

As spring inches closer to summer, we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather with a refreshing hike. After two exhilarating hours on the trails, we were both ravenous but craving something not just filling, but truly satisfying—something that would replenish our energy stores and nourish us from within.

Located conveniently in the mall (making parking a breeze), CAVA beckoned to us with promises of fresh ingredients and mouthwatering flavors. The concept of building your own bowl was intriguing, allowing us to tailor our meal exactly how we wanted it. For me, it was a base of arugula and baby spinach topped with juicy chicken—spiced just right—and sweet potato, because who doesn't love a good dose of healthy carbs? My friend, always the healthy eater, had a similar base but opted for a different protein.

The real magic, though, lay in the sauces. CAVA offers a range of delectable dressings, but two stood out as absolute winners for us: the classic Greek dressing and a divine garlic sauce that elevated our bowls to a whole new level of deliciousness.

To wash it all down, we explored their selection of natural juices. My personal favorite? The refreshing cucumber mint—a cooling and hydrating companion to our hearty bowls.

If you're in the area or passing through, CAVA is a must-visit. Whether you're a health enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates good food done right, this place promises a dining experience that's as delightful as it is nutritious. So, take a cue from our adventure and make your way to CAVA—it's a decision you won't regret.
